What is Cut-off Points?

Cut-off Points can be defined as a specific  point or value an institution or an organisation has kept for all individual or student to attain Cut-off Points often at times are specific, realistic, attainable and also it can be measured to qualify for a position.

Let’s say for an instance a School offers a scholarship for only for 3 Student and only a Student out of three was meant to get the scholarship, and the school presented an examination and the scholarship condition was that any of these student was made up to 300 Points will be qualify  to get the scholarship. And after the Exams MR. A  scored 320 points and  MR. B scored 300 points and also MR. C scored 290 points. it’s a little bit complicated this is what will happen, since it was only one student was meant to obtain the scholarship and two student and student scored the measured points.

The Student who will go for this scholarship will be MR. A because he added a value to himself by scoring above the recommended point and because of that he will be choosing for the scholarship. This is also applicable to all student…once you scored above the Cut-off Points you will be given Admission without no Stress.
