Trinity Shannon Accident Iowa – Teen Impaled in car crash

Trinity Shannon is suffering from a critical condition after she have a tragic car accident on Friday evening May 14. She is a junior from Ankeny High School. She was impaled after the car her friend was driving crashed into a bridge.

She said it took first responders more than an hour to get her out of the car.

“When I woke up, my feet was what was holding me from the bridge not impaling me completely,” Trinity said. “Somehow, I don’t know how it missed my main arteries, my main organs. The only thing that it didn’t was splinter my organs and got like debris and stuff in there.”

Trinity has had a couple of surgeries and her medical bills are piled up. There will be two events to help her and her family with those costs.

From 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday there will be a fundraiser at Planet Smothie in Altoona. A dollar from each smoothie will go to Trinity’s family.

Between noon and 3 p.m. at Yankee Clipper in Ankeny there will be raffle prizes, food and drinks. All the money will go to Trinity.

A GoFundMe account was created to help Trinity Shannon back to her feet.

Trinity Shannon, a junior from Ankeny High School has been left in critical condition after a terrible car accident that occurred on Friday evening May 14. She is currently in the hospital, this is just the start of a long recovery for Trinity and her family. With that being said, through all the medical bills and expenses that will come out of this situation we want to help out the Shannon’s/Beeck’s with these costs.
