Balin Stewart Death: Buddina Teenager Killed after Alleged Altercation
A Buddina teenager who died after an alleged fatal stabbing during a street fight has been identified.
Following reports of a dispute where one person was seriously injured, Police were called to Iluka Avenue to Buddina at approximately 11.20pm on Thursday January 20, 2022.
The cause for the alleged fatal altercation was as a result of interpersonal dispute around teenagers relationship. A teenage love triangle is understood to be at the centre of the alleged murder.
According to the police, they met family members trying to revive the victim that was stabbed outside the Buddina home. The police officers took over when they got there, different life saving measures was used, but the victim could not survive it. He was stabbed in a delicate area.
The victim as been identified as 16-year-old Balin Stewart. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect, a 17-year-old boy, was also at the scene when the police got there. He was arrested and taken into custody.
The authorities said, the victim has been charged this morning, January 21, 2022, with murder. He has been remanded in custody with his case adjourned until March.
