Belmont Cragin Road-Rage Shooting: Couple shot to death in Belmont Cragin
police were investigating whether road rage was to blame for multiple gun shot being fired at a car in Belmont Cragin, killing a couple, on Thursday, March 31, 2022.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting on the 2500 block of North Lamon Avenue, near Wrightwood Avenue, at approximately 6 a.m., on Thursday, March 31, 2022. A 32-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were traveling on the Lane.
An anonymous driver in front of them got out of their car and approached. The offender and the male victim had a verbal argument before the offender fired rounds into the vehicle.
The both victim suffered multiple gunshot injuries and were rushed to a nearby hospital,where they succumbed to their injuries.
According the scanner audio, the shooter was dressed all in black, was in a black sport-utility vehicle, and ran north on Lamon Avenue.
No arrest has been made. Investigation still continue.
