
John Joyce and Sharon Hee Car Accident: Two killed in fatal car accident in a construction work zone on State Highway Rt. 73; One injured | Obituary News.
Voorhees Police and the Camden County Prosecutors Office continue to investigate a crash that killed two in a construction work zone on State Highway Rt. 73 S/B, in the area of Lakeside Kennel on Friday night.
According to Voorhees Police, officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash in a construction work zone on State Highway Rt. 73 S/B, in the area of Lakeside Kennel at approximately 8:55 p.m. on Friday, April 15, 2022.
Upon officers arrival at the scene, preliminary investigation revealed a 2017 Lexus, operated by a West Berlin, New Jersey resident, John Joyce age 65, and passenger Sharon Hee age 62, of Cherry Hill, New Jersey were traveling Southbound on State Highway Rt.73, when it struck a steamroller operated by an on-scene worker, Richard Gatchell age 53 of Hammonton, New Jersey.
Voorhees Police and Voorhees Fire/EMS responded to the scene immediately. Mr. Joyce and Ms. Hee both succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead on-scene by medical personnel.
Mr. Gatchell was transported by ambulance to Cooper Hospital for his injuries and is in stable condition.
