Kalid Baraw Vehicle Accident: Impaired Driver arrested in North Syracuse Fatal Head-on Collision
Officers from different agencies responded to a Fatal car Crash on Buckley Road in North Syracuse, at approximately 1:00 a.m., on Wednesday morning, March 30, 2022. A car had rolled over on its side between Rita Drive and Waxwood Circle.
An Audi sedan and a Ford Explorer were traveling at high speeds when they lost control of their vehicles and collided with one another. According to deputies, both vehicles collided with a culvert and rolled over.
The Audi’s driver, 20-year-old Kalid Baraw, of Syracuse, was arrested for driving while intoxicated. According to deputies, the driver of the Ford was hospitalized in serious but stable condition with a head injury.
Investigation still continue on the circumstances surrounding the head-on collision.
