Deputy Sheriff Robert Howard was killed in a car accident when his patrol car struck the back of a parked tractor-trailer on the left shoulder of the Tomball Parkway near Spring Cypress Road on Wednesday.
The crash happened at approximately 2:00 pm. when Deputy Howard was transporting evidence as part of a criminal case.
27-year-old Deputy Howard joined the Sheriff’s Office three years ago and was an investigator in the Violent Gang Suppression Unit.
He is survived by his wife and two young children.
